Cummins Power Generation announced the release of four new diesel generator sets using the QSB7 and QSL9 engine platforms. The new models include 175kW, 200kW, 275kW and 300kW power nodes.

Both engine platforms feature a common rail fuel system with proven electronic controls for precise engine manipulation and low-maintenance filter assemblies to minimize downtime. All models comply with the EPA Tier 3 emission requirements for emergency standby applications.

The 175kW and 200kW generator sets with the QSB7 engine
Built on the proven 6.7l, 6-cylinder QSB7 engine platform, the new 175kW and 200kW generator sets are smaller, lighter and quieter than the models they are replacing. They also offer improved fuel economy, better de-rate performance, a choice of Power Command controls and optional dual circuit breakers with identical amp city trip settings.

The 275kW and 300kW generator sets with the QSL9 engine
The 275kW and 300kW models, built on the 8.9l, 6-cylinder QSL9 engine, are lighter and smaller than the units they are replacing. They also offer improved cold-starting performance. They are as quiet as their predecessor models and like them; these models come with options for additional sound attenuation.

Marketing manager of Cummins Power Generation, said: "We are excited to announce these new diesel-fueled generator set models. They offer an attractive combination of new features and additional options at competitive price points. They meet the demands of a significant and growing market of smaller businesses, which are continually challenged by frequent and severe power outages."

Senior product manager at Cummins Power Generation, added: "This announcement is a great example of Cummins incorporating customer feedback into product development. The new product lines include a range of features that were driven by customer requests, such as optional dual circuit breakers with identical amp city trip settings, Level 3 sound-attenuated enclosures, run-time-based fuel tanks and more."
